First there were unemployment benefits when you lost your job. And then, hopefully, friends with benefits when your spouse left you after said unemployment. Well, the benefits keep coming at SoLita, the upscale, modern Italian eatery on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, known to entice diners with its hearty meatballs pomodoro and seduce the glamorous late-night crowd in its lounge area.

Every Wednesday, the establishment will offer "Dinner With Benefits," which includes a prix fixe dinner for two for $49.50. The promotion also includes half-off bottles of wine. On the menu, meatballs pomodoro is the antipasti, followed by a chopped Italian salad and ravioli. For the second plate, choose from veal sorrentino, chicken scarpariello, or fresh catch puttanesca. And to finish off, cannoli and coffee are served for dessert.

Dinner is from 5:30 to 11 p.m. For more information or to make reservations, call SoLita at 954-357-2616.
