With all these pop-up restaurants... um... popping-up in south Florida, you might be asking yourself if the experience is right for you.
After all, you're used to chic dining rooms fragrant with fresh orchids and waiters who cater to your every whim, you Palm Beach princess, you. The stars have aligned for our little Muffy, because Cafe Boulud Palm Beach has announced a summer pop-up.
The cafe at the Brazilian Court Hotel & Beach Club invites you to take a journey to the Mediterranean (which is perfect if your yacht happens to be in dry dock this summer) with their new Boulud Sud summer pop-up menu.
This pop-up brings Daniel Boulud's newest New York restaurant, Boulud Sud, to Palm Beach with a special menu inspired by the sunlit beaches of Monaco and Greece to dinner service from Monday, June 2 through September 2.
Cafe Boulud's chef Jim Leiken will prepare the menu, which features both
ala carte offerings and a four-course prix fixe menu for $35 (beverage,
tax, and gratuity not included). Some of the Med-inspired dishes
include octopus a la plancha with Marcona almonds, lamb kibbeh with
Swiss chard, cedar grilled rouget with baby fennel, chicken tanging with
preserved lemon and spinach, and Harissa grilled lamb loin.
A
Mediterranean-inspired cocktail program will offer some interesting
libations including the Costa Brava (tequila, fresh melon, and cilantro)
and the Provencal (lavender-infused gin, Countreau, vermouth, and herbs
de Provence). Plus, there will be plenty of Rose wine.
If you
want to make a weekend out of the experience, a special package, which
includes dinner for two and a room at the Brazilian Court, starts at
$269, alcoholic beverages and tax additional. That's far cheaper than
filling up the yacht with fuel!
