34. South Indian Thali Dinner Special at Woodlands Vegetarian Indian Restaurant
There are many potential paths to follow for dinner at Woodlands Vegetarian Indian Restaurant; the behemoth menu stretches to seven pages and includes everything from curries to dosai. It's overwhelming for a first-time visitor and no matter what you choose, it's impossible not to feel like you're missing out on something else.
The South Indian thali dinner special ($15.95) is a smorgasbord that allows you to sample bites of a variety of tastes, some spicy, some savory and sweet, and some really spicy. This is a good primer for what the vegetarian restaurant has to offer, something to whet the diner's appetite for another visit. Large enough to serve two but priced for one, it should leave room in your budget to explore a few other delicious bites. Try the mango lassi, a smoothie-like drink that works to temper any heat, and cleanse the palate between the different dishes.
