The Grateful Dead's "Truckin'" is one of the classic tunes of rock 'n' roll.

Now restaurateur Gary Rack is singing his own version of truckin' in what he hopes will become a classic bit of Rack 'n' Roll. The owner of Table 42 and Racks Downtown Eatery in Boca Raton and Racks Italian Kitchen in North Miami is latching onto the still-growing food-truck phenomenon and launching his own mobile eatery, dishing up burgers, sammies, and other munchies to the hungry hordes whose hunger for food-truck goodies is exceeded only by their patience in waiting in line for them.

The Rack 'n' Roll is still in the process of being painted, so no pix

yet, but you can see it for yourself at its debut at the latest Gourmet Truck Expo, set to begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, at the Intracoastal Mall in North Miami.

Staffed

by Rack's exec chefs Matthew Danaher and Jacob Durham, the truck will

be dishing everything from sweet potato tots and piccata-style chicken

wings to burgers, organic meatballs, and an appetite-busting chicken

Milanese club sandwich with smoked ham, tomato, arugula, red onion, Provolone, and aioli. Cheap too; prices range from $3 to $7.

According

to Rack's flack, the Rack 'n' Roll truck will be showing up at any and

all food-truck events in Broward and Palm Beach counties, as well as

smaller venues and catering jobs. Hey, it beats "livin' on reds, vitamin

C, and cocaine."
