This Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Whole Foods Market - Boca Raton (1400 Glades Road, Suite 110) will host a bottle signing and wine-tasting for radio personality Paul Castronovo's new wine label, Castronovo Vineyards. This is the first public tasting event to celebrate the wine's launch since its arrival to South Florida this past November.
In Charlie's Q&A with Castronovo, he described the Italian red wine varietal, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo,
"as structured as a Cabernet, as elegant as a Merlot, and as gentle as a
pinot noir." A bottle retails for just under $15 and is available at
several South Florida restaurants and wine stores (go to castronovovineyard.com for a full listing of availability).
The bottle signing is amidst the Paul and Young Ron Morning Show's annual holiday food drive
with Feeding South Florida which in past years has successfully raised
over one million pounds of food for those in need. Castronovo Vineyards
is one of the sponsors for two of the food drive's events -- Meatballs
and Martinis and Comedy for a Cause. A few samples of the wine and a
couple of chuckles with the comedic radio star should get you in the
charitable spirit, so any superfluous income could be donated to the
food drive by calling 877 6-HUNGER or going to feedingsouthflorida.org to contribute online.
