We've learned tons of restaurant news and will keep you updated as the details unfurl. For now, here's the skinny on openings this week.
Tony and Lori Bova of Vivo Partenza have resurrected Mario's of Bova and renamed it Mario's Osteria. December 15 marked the soft opening of the 300-seat restaurant on Glades Road in the former McCormick & Schmick's space. Three executive chefs helm the kitchen, and "Yes, the garlic rolls from Mario's are back," said an employee. The restaurant is not taking reservations until further notice. We will keep you updated. 1400 Glades Road, Boca Raton. Call 561-239-7000.
B&G Oyster Bar has quietly opened, featuring cocktails and select appetizers nightly. The restaurant is helmed by the folks behind Coconuts in Fort Lauderdale and is perched next door. B&G is a reference to owner Elliott Wolfe's children, Bennett and Gates. It officially opens the evening of January 11.
Frank & Dino's, the Rat Pack-inspired restaurant from
Dennis Max of Max's Harvest and Carlo Vacarezza, partner of Mickey's
with Mickey Rourke in South Beach, among others,
is slated to open January 12. Former Casa D'Angelo
and La Veranda chef Tonio Orsino will run the kitchen. The 4,000-square-foot space seats 155 and serves weekday lunch and dinner daily.
The opening of Park Tavern has been pushed back to February 3.
Chef/owners Anthony Pizzo, Brandon Belluscio, and Brian Albe are
finalizing details of the restaurant, inspired by New York's Gramercy Tavern and Delray's Worthing Park. For more information on the concept, click here.
