Animal rights organization PETA has named the finalists in their annual "Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door" contest -- and one of the sexiest men is from Pembroke Pines!

Malik Kalonji is a 46-year-old yoga instructor, massage therapist, and winner of several martial arts competitions. The healthy hottie has been a vegetarian for 26 years and went vegan six years ago. He has a college-age son and one very lucky adopted cat named Kwanzaa. If you think Kalonji sounds like the perfect man now we need to add that he also writes poetry and raps about animal rights issues. "Animals have a place in my heart, not in my stomach", the virile vegan said when asked why he befriends animals instead of frying them.

Malik is one of 20 finalists

vying for the title of sexiest vegetarian next door. The winner of the

contest receives a trip to Hawaii and really good karma for all
