Pure Imagination Live Takes Place Again Feb. 7 at Sweat Records

Pure Imagination is a bunch of weird people playing instruments with a story being read over the top of it. Last time I walked in on it, I thought I was listening to an American version of that Velvet Underground track "The Gift," minus the Welsh accent and the heroin. It's actually pretty cool and it's happening at Sweat Records again this Saturday, February 7, LIVE!

We say LIVE! because otherwise, Pure Imagination is a radio show that gets played on WVUM on Monday nights at 9 p.m.  The music is coordinated by Devin Smith of the Dead Hookers' Bridge Club and Cassette. Not a bad way to pass a Saturday evening if you ask me. Also, it happens at Sweat so you can eat vegan s'mores and drink coffee and buy Portishead box sets. Admission is free.
