This week's roundup of concerts brings us everything from the ethereal sounds of veteran classical crossover artist Sarah Brightman, to the wobbling, in-your-face dubstep that characterizes Montreal-based duo Adventure Club.
Throw in a free show and a brand new music, art, and technology festival for good measure, and you've got a well-rounded week of musical goodness to carry you through the beginning of October and set the tone for the rest of the month.
Check out our picks for this week's best concerts in South Florida after the jump.
5. Adventure Club. 8 p.m., Saturday, October 5 at Club Cinema, 3251 N. Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point. Tickets cost $30 plus fees via ticketfly.com.
As the tools became more widely available throughout the earlier 2000s, many a young musician began to make the transition over to the mystifying world of EDM. While some flailed about terribly, others harnessed the power of the dubstep bass-drop into something palatable, even addictive.
Cue Christian Srigley and Leighton James, a.k.a. Adventure Club, the Montreal-based duo. They started out in high school as a hardcore pop-punk band, but later decided to move on to the more electronic sound of dubstep after getting bored with their sound. Now, they remix everyone from Foxes to Flight Facilities and Alexisonfire while teaming up with big names like Krewella on their original productions. Check them this Saturday at Club Cinema.
4. Sarah Brightman. 8 p.m., Saturday, October 5 at BB&T Center, 1 Panther Parkway, Sunrise. Tickets cost $27.50 to $435 plus fees via ticketmaster.com.
She has the voice of an angel and she sort of looks like she came out of an episode of Game of Thrones. Sarah Brightman has been serenading the world with her silky soprano voice for 40 years, becoming one of the biggest classical crossover artists ever. This Saturday, the legendary English lady makes a stop at BB&T Center for a night of her signature ethereal pop music.
3. Black Taxi. 8 p.m., Thursday, October 3 at Respectable Street, 518 Clematis St., West Palm Beach. Admission is free. Visit Facebook for more details.
Like a New-Wavier version of electronic-influenced indie rockers Minus the Bear, New York's Black Taxi makes energetic pop music with a hint of that old punk-rock sensibility. This Thursday, they stop in West Palm for a free show at Respectable Street's indie-dance party, Flaunt.
2. III Points Music, Art, and Technology Festival. With James Murphy, Jamie XX, DJ Shadow, Miami Horror, Hercules and Love Affair, and more. Runs from Thursday, October 3, through Saturday, October 5. Tickets cost $37 to $155 plus fees via iiipoints.com.
Up here in BroCo and PBC, we have plenty of festivals to keep us occupied. Miami, well, that's another story. Festivals seem much rarer down there than the standalone blowout concert. That's why the announcement of the three-day III Points music and arts fest in Wynwood is particularly notable South Florida news.
This will also be the first musical happening of this sort in the burgeoning arts district just North of downtown. The party starts October 3 and continues through the 5th, promising -- besides plenty of live jams and visuals -- film screenings, interactive games, and seminars.
The lineup is pretty impressive, both in the sonic and visual realms. The announcement of DJ sets by James Murphy, Jamie XX, and DJ Shadow made our draws drop. And just this week, the list of exhibiting artists was released, gaining them a hearty nod of the head from us at County Grind. -- Liz Tracy

1. Keith Urban. 7 p.m., Saturday, October 5 at Cruzan Amphitheater, 601-7 Sansbury's Way, West Palm Beach. Tickets cost $25.00 to $54.75 plus fees via livenation.com.
There must be something in the air down under, 'cause they continue to churn out super-sexy star after star. Keith Urban may be a Kiwi, but he's made a name for himself by fusing perfectly with our all-American country sound. After nine studio albums and at the ripe (still sexy) age of 45, it appears this imported country-rock hunk is here to stay.
