The Columbus, Ohio-based MC Copywrite (sometimes Copywrite 78) is best known, perhaps, to underground hip-hop diehards as a former member of the Weathermen, alongside Cage and the late Camu Tao (RIP). But in the five years since he left that group over personal disagreements, he's continued his steady solo grind, releasing a few mixtapes and working on his sophomore full-length, the forthcoming The Life And Times of Peter Nelson.
Most recently, though, Copywrite won a few cool points on teh Internets by sparking a suburban rap beef with frat-boy hero Asher Roth. Copywrite called out Roth's slacker cheese with the track "The Real Fake Shady (Asher to Ashes)," leveling, again, the frequent criticism that Roth is an Eminem lite.
Roth came back with "Silly Boy." But Copywrite had to have the last word, releasing "Cremation," which skill-wise craps all over Roth as an MC, but features very 2k9 lines like "I have you on my blog daily, stressed, smoking kush, CAPS ON." Fiddy vs. Rick Ross this is not, but both Roth and Ross currently share an off-balance position in which they're repeatedly defending their credibility. (Although, frankly, both are probably laughing all the way to the bank.)
Warming up for Copywrite is a slew of South Florida's nimblest
wordsmiths: A1phanum3ric5 (try typing that one quickly), Punchenello

Phobia Nation. The lovable loudmouth Soarse Spoken hosts, and
