When a newly reformed legendary Brazilian psychedelic band calls upon you to open up for its national tour, it's probably best to simply say yes. Of course, leave it to those wacky Os Mutantes to go ahead and dig up the only group that describes their sound as "Spanish-Jewish indie rockers" to be that opener.

DeLeon has been garnering a good deal of acclaim in underground circles for its JDub Records releases last year. This national outing should only raise the band's profile as it supports the Mutantes in support of the headliners' first album in 35 years, Haih Or Amortecedor.  DeLeon has already provided tour support for Gogol Bordello and Mike Gordon of Phish, but it might be this tour that puts their name on many "how did we miss this band last year" lists.

After the jump, get show details and an MP3 of the band's song "Be Still Angelino."

DeLeon, with Os Mutantes. Wednesday, October 14. Culture Room, 3045 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., tickets cost $22 in advance. 954-564-1074; cultureroom.net
