I just got the good word that Cape Verdean singer Anané and her husband, New York house legend, Louie Vega, are playing a show together in Miami two weeks from now.

The show is set for November 6 at the Florida Room inside of the Delano Hotel, and sounds like it's going to be an interesting affair. For starters, I didn't even realize Little Louie was married to Anané, the Afro-house/soul chanteuse who has been making a name for herself globally by fusing Cape Verdean flavor with house and lounge music. Then again, he is her main producer (now that I think about it) so it's all starting to make sense.

Anyway, Lucky Louie as he should be called, and his wife are coming to Miami, and although it's not clear if they're going to be rocking together at the same time or separately, it's a show that's sure to have those who crave soulful, Latin-inspired NY house showing up early just to get inside. As with all performances at the Florida room, it will be an intimate affair and you'll get a chance to experience both of these artists without barriers doing what they do best.
