Hot off Kill Miss Pretty's performance on CBS 12's morning program -- where the band's set was cut short after producers were allegedly shocked by the group's music and wardrobe choice -- Boynton Beach's sexiest foursome has announced a tour.
They'll kick off with a date at the Monterey Club on June 25. From there, the electro-punksters will head to the RockitCon Music Conference in Orlando, where newest member, guitarist Scott Putesky, formerly Daisy Berkowitz of Marilyn Manson, will host a guitar clinic. Shows in Tallahassee, Gainesville, and Houma, Louisiana., will follow. The band is still booking dates for the rest of the summer.
If you haven't caught the band before, KMP is equal parts art, sex, and rawk. Take the recently released "Judy Garland," a web of gritty guitar work, spooky synths, infectious bass lines, and industrial punk choruses that, through Alicia Olink's grrrly growl, repeat the line "You don't have to call me darlin', treat me like I'm Judy Garland." (It'll stick with you for hours.) Danceable, captivating, and theatrical, KMP is a treat for those of us who need a little glam in our lives.
