From the soulful sounds of up-and-comer ZZ Ward to the sexy R&B pop of Canada's the Weeknd, here's our selection of the five best concerts to hit up this week.

ZZ Ward. With the Wild Feathers and James Bay. 7:30 p.m., Monday, September 23 at Revolution Live, 100 SW 3rd Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Tickets cost $17.75-$19 via ticketmaster.com.

Pennsylvania-born bluesy singer-songwriter ZZ Ward heats things up tonight as she headlines the Ones to Watch Down & Dirty Shine tour.

STRFKR brings its funky brand of Portland, Oregon-flavored indie electronica to the stage at Grand Central this Tuesday. Spaced-out chillwave act Chrome Sparks will make your booty sway as well.

Dutch "hardstyle" EDM star Headhunterz drops the bass this Thursday at Revolution.

Abel Tesfaye, a.k.a. the Weeknd, slows it down and sexes it up with some smooth and modern R&B sounds this Saturday at James L. Knight Center in Miami.
