Here's some good news for the kids who tried to see Escape the Fate's almost-debut headlining performance in Miami, in fall of 2007 at the now-defunct Studio A. The band never made it due to van troubles, and the rest of the show went on without them. The Las Vegas post-post-post-hardcore quartet recently released its second album, This War Is Ours, and will hit the road nationally in support of it, beginning in early February.

Of local interest is the band's opening act: Miami's Black Tide. The band has impressively survived a punishing international touring schedule over the last year. However, it seems like there's been one casualty.

When the band performed at Revolution this past September 2, second guitarist Alex Nuñez was conspicuously missing,

and the official word from the band's camp was that he was "on hiatus"

from the band. Judging by the looks of the promo photos on Black Tide's official web site, it seems he's been permanently replaced by his fsometime bandmate in the Panix, Austin.

The tour kicks off early February in California, and arrives in South Florida Sunday, February 15 at the Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale. Tickets cost $14.99, and are on sale now via Ticketmaster.
