The festival is a series of cool Latin shows hitting our fair city during the month of April, kicking off last Thursday with a free live show at News Lounge by Buenos Aires DJ group, Zizek. It continues tomorrow with a Curated Listening session with Globesonic DJ Fabian Alsutany at News Lounge, then takes to the Bandshell for four shows over the next few weeks. Aterciopelados and Curumin on the 17th, Sariñana performs on the 18th with an opening set by Rachel Goodrich, Budos Band and Javier Garcia are up on the 24th and CuCu performs along with Tinariwen on the 25th. There, now that's a nice couple of weekends worth of entertainment for you. And you thought there was nothing to do but drown yourself in Jagger-bombs at [insert dive bar of choice here].
Shows for The Heineken TransAtlantic Festival run $20 a ticket, or you can purchase the festival pass for $60 and save a Jackson on the four. For more info, head here.
