Put off your apocalyptic prepping, and check out our list of cheap things to do around town in Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach besides hitting up the New Found Glory show at Culture Room. We know you're too broke to set sail on the S.S. Coachella, so let these be your cruise.

To alleviate some stress, next week, we'll present you with an ultimate guide to partying on the eve of the End of the World.

The Dives Take on Taylor Swift. Friday, December 14, 10 p.m., at The Manor, 2345 Wilton Dr., Wilton Manors. Admission is free.
We're not 100% sure on what exactly will be happening at this event. But, what we do know is the idea of drag queens taking on Taylor Swift music sounds absolutely magical. Quite possibly a little more amazing than seeing the pop princess herself. Performances will be by Estephania, Sasha, and Erika. For more info click here

A Tribute to Spaghetti Westerns with the Necrophiles. Friday, December 14, 10 p.m., at Undergrounds Coffeehaus, 3020 N. Federal Hwy. #5A, Fort Lauderdale. Admission is $2.
Get out those spurs for an evening dedicated to the Wild Wild West. The Necrophiles will be providing the soundtrack for the night in the art gallery while movies are shown in the main cafe. And don't forget to save your appetite as there will be spaghetti to chow on.

Vanilla Ice at Sixth Annual Toys for Tots Benefit Show with Lavola, Raggy Monster, Ribbon Dancer, and the Wrong. Saturday, December 15, 8 p.m., at Respectable Street, 518 Clematis St., West Palm Beach. Admission is free with a new unwrapped toy.
Sure, the holidays are about getting lots of presents and eating 'til we pop. But, it's also a wonderful time to do a bit of charity. All over the world there's children who are in need of some holiday cheer. And here's your chance to play Santa. Pick up a new unwrapped gift and in exchange you get to enjoy a night of free live music. Oh, and check out a performance by the seasonally appropriately titled Vanilla Ice.

Holiday Trunk Show. Saturday, December 15, 12 p.m., at Ink and Pistons Tattoo Shop and Art Gallery, 2716 S. Dixie Hwy., West Palm Beach. No cover.
If you're like us and hate Black Friday, this probably means you've still got a bit of holiday shopping to do. Instead of supporting a bunch of big box stores, treat your friends and family to a handmade holiday. There will be 20 artists and crafters to shop from, as well as free hot cocoa and cookies to get you in the shopping mood.

Indie Craft Bazaar: O Holy Knit!. Sunday, December 16, 12 p.m., at Revolution, 100 SW 3rd Ave., Fort Lauderdale. $5 Admission.
Shopping handmade is the new rage this holiday season. Skip out on the boring gifts like iPads and socks, and get a little creative because nothing says "I Love You" like original artwork. With over 65 vendors, there is sure to be a little something for everyone on your shopping list. And ladies, how can you resist shopping while drinking $3 mimosas?
