Bobby Load and Dan Ceritelli in Action
Somehow I missed the flier for this show, even though I was in Broward last Friday.  Southern Flaw is one of my favourite versions of South Florida music and they are playing tonight at the Bar-Tv building in Ft. Lauderdale with a bunch of other bad ass bands.  The show starts at 8 p.m. sharp and all bands have to be done by 1 a.m., so don't fuck this one up.  Excellent songwriting, backed up by disgusting guitar licks and full on rhythm section power songs about drinking, women, drugs and rock 'n' roll.  Bobby Load's liquor soaked vocals and eccentric performances always sit perfectly over some of the best guitar playing in the sunshine state courtesy of Dan Ceritelli. Pat Joyce lends lead and backup vocals as well as formidable basslines that thump through Jeff Contaldo's drumming.

One of Pat's songs, "Alcohol and Pills" is a real standout, as is Bobby's "Weak Constitution." They are known for breaking up and breaking down the best bad bar's in this swampy place.  Don't miss the rare show and check out this little gem of a video, courtesy of Freddie Films, "Two Lids" live at the Poorhouse after the jumpy jumpster jumperoo.
