Kat Dahlia continues to prove that she's more than just a pretty face in contemporary hip-hop. Blessed with an acerbic wit and a wavy delivery that is equal parts mournful soul and soaring hope, her work is the end result of a filtering process of her admittedly short life's experience. Born and raised in Miami and informed through a jaunt in New York City, her upcoming album My Garden is one of the more anticipated albums of 2014.

2013 was an active year for Dahlia with the release of the EPs Gangsta and Seeds as well as numerous high-profile performances for Billboard, among others. She was also featured on the cover of YRB magazine's Winter edition.

Her new video for the track "The High" off the Seeds mixtape was directed by Crazy Hood Film Academy and Miami hip-hop artist Garcia. If this is any indication of what the future holds for the young Cuban-American, we can bet on a long, quality career.
