There'll be a huge gathering in Pembroke Pines on Sunday. It's not church-related, but people will line up religiously the morning of, as early as 1 a.m., to get a prime spot. This will lead them to tailgate and worship at the altar of their trunks with kegs as their holy communion.

If people actually make it to the concert, shouts of "Hallelujah!" will ring throughout C.B. Smith Park. It's pretty miraculous when folks shooting Fireball all night long are still standing when the sun comes up.

This, dear friends, will be the scene at the annual KISS Country 99.9 FM Chili Cookoff.

You might want to consider it the Ultra Music Festival of country.

Each year, the roster is packed with the hottest in the genre, supported by some cool up-and-comers. 2015's lineup includes Brad Paisley, the Band Perry, Jerrod Niemann, the Swon Brothers, and the Cadillac Three. Paisley may be asking "Who Needs Pictures," and with all the partying going on, maybe it's best to follow suit and put away the iPhone. Gates open at 8:30 a.m., and attendees can cut a rug on the dance floor, complete with a DJ where guests can break it down country style.

You may be wondering, where does the chili come in? Although it seems a minute part compared to the music and tailgating, names of the winners of the homemade chili contest do get announced, with prizes as well as bragging rights. So put on those Daisy Dukes and camo hats and get ready to party all day and night long.

KISS Country 99.9 FM Chili Cookoff. 8:30 p.m. Sunday, January 25, at C.B. Smith Park, 900 N. Flamingo Road, Pembroke Pines. Tickets cost $52, and parking costs $5. Call 305-654-1700, or visit cbslocal.com.
