Palm Beach County police are assisting Greenacres police over a suspicious item that was found at Paul's Motel in Greenacres.

Authorities were called about the item earlier this afternoon about something that looked like a bomb. The bomb squad was dispatched as well.

Paul's Motel is located in the 5400 block of Lake Worth Road, a block west of Military Trail.

Police then closed off the road in both directions.

A bomb-diffusing robot was deployed to check the item, and the motel was evacuated.

However, police are saying the situation has been resolved after finding the item.

The motel's guests were allowed to return to their rooms shortly after the all-clear was given.

There are no reports of any injuries of any kind.

At the moment, police are not saying what the suspicious item was, but early reports say that it might have been -- or at least might have been something that looked like -- a pipe bomb.
