A University of Florida student decided to get naked, walk around the campus, and tell everyone he's God. He also asked police officers to cut off his genitals.
According to school newspaper the Alligator, Michael Joseph Silecchia, 19, ran around in the halls of Building 5 of the Campus Club Apartments at 4000 SW 37th Blvd. causing a ruckus.
He also told people he was on acid, which kind of makes sense now.
Police responded to calls that came at 1 a.m., and when they arrived, Silecchia began to take his clothes off and tell them he was God.
He also told cops he had taken LSD.
Cops ordered Silecchia to put his clothes back on. But he refused and turned to walk away.
When officers moved in to take him, Silecchia turned and punched a female officer. Police then tried to subdue him with a Taser.
However, Silecchia had to be Tasered six times before he dropped to the ground. Finally, officers were able to pounce and hold him down to arrest him.
That's when he began to tell them, "Don't cut my penis off."
But then, in an apparent change of heart, Silecchia said, "Cut my penis off."
He also allegedly spat on one of the medical personnel who tried to treat him.
And while punching a female cop and spitting on a medic would probably give cops enough justification to go ahead and comply with Silecchia's wishes to have his dick cut off by them, they did no such thing.
Instead, they had him taken to a hospital for treatment of his ingestion of LSD. He was then booked into the Alachua County Jail the following Monday on charges of battery on a medical care provider, battery on a law enforcement officer, and resisting an officer.
