Sometimes, Gov. Rick Scott will say something that's so untrue, it's actually false two different ways.
Such was the case on Friday, when he gave his reaction to President Obama's jobs speech to Bay News 9.
"You know, one of the best things about the speech, he used my slogan 'Let's Get to Work' in his speech," Scott told the station. "So I think he takes on all the popular governors and uses their slogans."
Unless Scott was saying "Let's Get to Work" back when he was known as the "Madoff of Medicare," he started using it as his slogan -- and as the name of his 527 group -- in mid-2010.
The guy who Scott says "used my slogan" just happened to use his slogan in 2008:
So who's using whose slogan there, Rick?
The other issue with the phrase "used my slogan" is that it implies it's his -- as if it belonged to him.
"Let's Get to Work" doesn't belong to the governor, because the phrase is actually trademarked by somebody else.
