Semie Robinson seems to have a habit of leaving his DNA at Pompano Beach crime scenes.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, Robinson, 30, has been implicated in the November murder of 53-year-old Russell Buddie outside Buddie's Pompano Beach air-conditioning business after leaving his DNA at the scene.

The cops didn't exactly have to look too far for Robinson, since he was already in jail on an attempted-murder charge after police say his DNA was lifted off a cooler, soda bottle, and hat inside a cab -- where Robinson had just allegedly shot the cabbie.

Robinson's been in the Broward County Jail since last month for allegedly shooting cabdriver Williamson Joseph, who picked up Robinson from a Fort Lauderdale convenience store on November 18 and started toward Robinson's place in Pompano Beach.

Joseph then parked in the driveway Robinson told him to go to -- about 1.5 miles from his house -- and Robinson shot him once in the head and once in the armpit, the BSO says.

Joseph was taken to the North Broward Medical Center and was eventually released.

Meanwhile, the cops discovered that a cooler was left in Joseph's "bloody taxi."

Inside the cooler was a partially consumed bottle of Mountain Dew and a baseball cap.

The BSO says the mouthpiece of the Mountain Dew bottle had Robinson's DNA on it, and the emblem on his hat had two of his fingerprints.

Robinson -- who was paroled from prison about ten months ago -- was arrested and charged with attempted murder as well as a parole violation on December 12.

Then the crime lab processed the DNA from the scene where someone stabbed Buddie to death outside his air-conditioning business in Pompano Beach -- and the cops say it matches Robinson.

That stabbing happened just two days before the shooting of the cabdriver, as Buddie's father arrived at the business and found his son lying in a pool of blood.

The sheriff's office says Robinson has a "violent criminal history," and cops are pointing to robbery as the motive in the stabbing.

Robinson's being held without bond.
