Here's one they don't teach in Management 101.
A local microbiologist claims that her boss would unzip his pants and touch himself when she met with him to talk about work, according to a recently filed lawsuit.
To make matters worse, the woman claims, she was passed up for a promotion at Arnet Pharmaceutical Corp. because she complained, Broward County Civil Court docs indicate.
Problems began for Gloria Hincapie in August 2009, when her boss, Diego Congote, is said to have fondled himself during their conversations. Then, she claims, he tried to kiss her neck and ask for sexual favors.
She filed a complaint with human resources. The result: Other employees started picking on her, and she was passed up for a promotion, Hincapie claims.
Now, Hincapie, who still works at the company -- alongside Congote -- wants Arnet to pay up for what she says is a corporate failure to protect employees from a hostile work environment.
