Jeb Bush's New PAC Is Called "Right to Rise"

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is not attending Rick Scott's inauguration today. Instead, he's out in New York putting together his new PAC, Right to Rise.

Bush announced the news of his new PAC on Twitter and Facebook with two videos shot in both English and Spanish.

And, in another attempt to hop on this newfangled thing called the internet, Jeb has launched an Instagram account. The first two posts are the videos of his announcing Right to Rise.

In the video, Bush says that the Right to Rise PAC will allow him to "support candidates who believe in conservative principles to allow all Americans to rise up."

The announcement of the PAC is not surprising. Just last month, Bush announced his intentions of putting together an exploratory committee to look into the possibility of running for president in 2016.

The PAC will also be conducting polls and paying for travel expenses as Jeb hits the road to start asking for donations.

The name Right to Rise is a tad wonky, but it's apparently in homage to Mitt Romney running mate Paul Ryan. It was Ryan who coined the phrase "right to rise," in a sort of conservative mantra that focuses on personal responsibility and earned success.

"We believe passionately that the Right to Rise -- to move up the income ladder based on merit, hard work, and earned success -- is the central moral promise of American economic life," says the newly launched Right to Rise website. "We are optimists who believe that America's opportunities have never been greater than they are right now. But we know America is falling short of its promise."

With the launch of the PAC, Jeb is already off and running, with a Wednesday fundraiser in Greenwich, Connecticut, and plans of a super PAC that will be allowed accept unlimited amounts of money for Jeb's potential run.
