Former Florida Gov. (and little brother ta Dubya) Jeb Bush has been making the rounds on morning television shows to talk about his new book, which, COINCIDENTALLY, happens to be about probably the most important issue that will preoccupy us all from now until 2016.
Imergration, y'all!
But, as it is with these shows, them pesky newsy people won't quit asking him about if he plans to ruin America like his brother did run for president like his brother and father did. Although, frankly, we've blown up most of Iraq already, so what would be the point?
Anyway, he gave it some thought, and he answered with a pretty adamant *Kanye shrug.*
In a Monday-morning interview with Glib Matt Lauer on NBC's The Today Show, Bush was asked if he has ruled out running for president.
"I won't [rule it out], but I'm not going to declare today either."
On Tuesday, CBS This Morning people, the guy who talks to actors in a black room, and a blond lady tried to make Bush declare it today but also got a taste of Vague Jeb! being all vague.
"I've decided not to think about it for a while," Jeb! replied.
When told that it's interesting that he's not ruling it out, Bush replied, "I'm not ruling it out. That, I guess is interesting."
Jeb! also talked about what went wrong with Mittington Romney's campaign and how the GOPers need to be more open to minorities and how he's all about getting in there and solving the immigration problem.
Obviously this is a dude who has not thought about running for president AT. ALL.
He's also clearly very much a Bush.
With the release of his new book, Immigration Wars: Forging an American Solution, Jeb!
has thrown himself square in the middle of the Thunderdome arena where everyone makes angry loud noises about immigration reform.
"It is absolutely vital to the integrity of our immigration system that actions have consequences -- in this case, that those who violated the law can remain but cannot obtain the cherished fruits of citizenship," Bush says in the book. "To do otherwise would signal once again that people who circumvent the system can still obtain the full benefits of American citizenship."
In other words, Jeb! does not support a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants living in the U.S.
Which is weird because, he actually used to support it.
To put this into perspective, Tea Party Prince of Peace Savior Golden Boy Quencher of Thirst Marco Rubio is to the LEFT of Jeb! on this issue.
The GOPers have a problem. The majority of Americans think Republicans are complete dipshits (Commenters: Look at the polls before ya troll.)
So their solution: Throw a Bush at 'em and hope for the best!
Or just keep pinning their hopes on Rubio, who, we must again remind you, is kind of a horrible human person.
