If your New Year's resolution is to spend more time with your four-legged friend (or to find a new furry love in your life), we suggest heading over to the Tri-County Humane's Bark-B-Que and Adopt-A-Thon this weekend.
On Sunday, January 6 from noon - 3 p.m., take your furry friend to the Tri-County Humane Society (21287 Boca Rio Road, Boca Raton) for a fun-filled afternoon of food, fun, and games.
Kids and grownups can have fun at the rock wall, bungee trampoline, a dunk tank, doggie vendors, and raffles.
There's even a smooch-a-pooch booth where you can pucker up with a pet for charity.
Your canine companion will enjoy treats from the doggie treat bar and muttinis.
Humans can chow down on veggie burgers, hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, mac
and cheese, and coleslaw.
Admission to the Bark-B-Que is $10 per person, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Tri-County Homane Society, which is a 100% no-kill animal shelter serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
Don't have a furry friend (or looking to add another pup to the posse?) -- the society's adoptable dogs will be all gussied up and ready to meet you. If you're a cat person, don't fret -- there are plenty of adoptable kitties who are more than willing to lend a cuddle.
