Have you noticed a distinct lack of beer-oriented transportation for the past few months? If so, you're not alone, because the South Florida Brew Bus, which we rode and experienced last summer, went away for a bit, citing capacity issues in its native Tampa... but it's coming back in full force on February 20!

Starting Friday, the Brew Bus will begin again with its brewery tours, providing round-trip transportation from Funky Buddha Brewery in Oakland Park to a couple of different breweries in South Florida over the course of three and a half hours.

"Yes, we are back in action!" Brew Bus USA President Anthony Derby told us. "I'm superexcited about how things are starting to shape up for the South Florida craft beer market.

"With over 5,000 people on our buses last year in Tampa, we are ready to see South Florida's craft beer scene explode with the openings of J Wakefield Brewing and MIA Brewing joining notable pioneers like Funky Buddha Brewery, Saltwater Brewery, and Wynwood Brewing."

With the reemergence, there will be a stronger focus on some upgraded infrastructure, including the ability to book trips months in advance, something that was lacking for those used to theme-park-like reservation systems.

So far, it's looking like the Brew Bus will be doing tours on Fridays and Saturdays, traveling to various breweries in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties.

In addition, the Brew Bus will begin running a fifth bus in Jacksonville starting this summer. Intuition Ale Works, Green Room Brewing, and Engine 15 Brewing Co., watch yourselves!
