When it comes to big names in South Florida restaurant scene, D'Angelo is one of the greats.

For years, chef Angelo Elia has been churning out beautifully prepared high-end Italian cuisine at his esteemed Casa D'Angelo.

Sure, we love it, but we're on a bit of a budget these days.

For the plebeians of Broward and Palm Beach, the famed chef opened another namesake concept with price-points that are bit friendlier than his original place of business.

D'Angelo Pizza - Wine Bar - Tapas in Weston and Delray Beach, two of Elia's casual -- and moderately priced -- eateries are now offering even better deals for the time being.

While both restaurants are now offering deals, they're offering different options for different reasons.

To celebrate its one year anniversary, D'Angelo in Weston is serving a four-course prix fixe menu prepared by chef Tony Sassi.

Every night until January 31 -- you still have about a week left -- the menu includes scallops wrapped with speck over a warm cannellini salad; risotto with porcini mushrooms, truffle oil, and topped with shaved parmesan cheese; branzino oreganata over baby spinach; and mini cannoli filled with homemade fresh ricotta and chocolate morsels with a complimentary glass of wine for $40 per person.

For lunch, the Weston location is offering the 4 S's -- slider, salad, soup and soft drink -- for $15 a piece or $18 wine a glass of wine.

The menu will change daily with selections like blackened tuna slider, pasta fagioli, house salad and soda; and veal meatball parmigiana, lobster bisque, Caesar salad and soda.

While Weston is celebrated a milestone, Delray is offering specials for new customers -- it opened in early November.

Starting on Tuesday, the restaurant began offering its 12 for $12 lunch special.

Chef de cuisine Peter Masiello has created a menu of 12 items, such as panino and zuppa served with Angelo's fries; Italian sausage with peppers and onions with ciabatta on the side; pollo Milanese next to arugula salad and tomato; salmon with artichoke and caper sauce with a side of spinach; the open face Angelo Burger with provolone and fries; and more.

A selection of $6 wines (red and white) have been selected by sommelier Koen Kersemans to accompany the menu.
