It's hard to believe, but the Hard Rock Cafe is 43 years old. The rock-themed restaurant is celebrating its birthday with a blowout weekend extravaganza that manages to celebrate its musical roots and honor our local police, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians.

This weekend, it's all about the music, as the Hard Rock Cafe, located inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, hosts three nights of tribute bands.

On Friday, June 13, Completely Unchained, a tribute to Van Halen takes the stage at 10 p.m. Saturday, June 14, Billy Joel fans can enjoy the Piano Man's greatest hits with Turnstiles at 10 p.m.; and on Sunday, June 15, Beatles fans won't want to miss Across the Universe, a tribute to the Beatles with Magic 102.7's DJ Holiday. The special Sunday concert begins at 2 p.m.

If you're a first responder, head over to the Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday, June 14 for the Burger Badge Bash. All day, police, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians can snag a Hard Rock Legendary Burger for 71 cents and a "flash" of their badge.

And, on Father's Day, dads will receive a complimentary burger. No badge required -- just a "flash" of a smile is all it takes.

And, the Hard Rock Cafe has teamed up with "Sisters of

Abundant Living" to help ensure local children get the nutrition they need during the summer break. Don't forget to bring non-perishable healthy snack items with you. These food items will be collected all weekend, and throughout the summer, and will be distributed to over five libraries in Broward County, including the Jan Moran Collier City branch in Pompano Beach and Tyron Bryant in Ft. Lauderdale.
