Stephane's Steak and Seafood, the upscale restaurant owned by Stephane Lang-Willar, has closed its doors.

According to a statement, the restaurant was acquired by an undisclosed group of private investors. The ownership transfer was completed on June 3.

Stephane Lang-Willar said that, "While I am greatly saddened about this turn of events for Stephane's, I am optimistic about my future endeavors, and I'm confident the new ownership will find great success with the concept they present."

Stephane's opened on July 15, 2012 and held many successful promotions including a "Girls' Night Out" and Champagne brunch. Owner Lang-Willar was also responsive to his customers, dropping the restaurant's mandatory service charge when people complained.

Plans for the location, which previously housed Copper Canyon Grill, have not yet been announced.
