Mama June is the matriarch of one of America's most bizarre, beloved, and tragic reality-TV families. And this Saturday, she will be appearing at the Crazy Horse Gentleman's Club in Pompano Beach.

And that, unfortunately, is a factual statement, not a random assortment of very sad words we pulled out of an old hat.

Mama June will apparently be keeping her clothes on and will be making $5,500 for her meet and greet, according to TMZ. She is not the first reality television mother to walk through the doors of the Crazy Horse, though. MTV Teen Mom turned amateur porn star Farrah Abraham made an appearance at the club back in March to celebrate its grand opening.
For those blissfully uninitiated, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was a reality series that followed a family of Mountain Dew-fueled, self-described rednecks. The show centered on the jittery but undeniably charming Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, Mama June's 6-year-old daughter. The families buttercentric diet and all-around lack of chivalry quickly garnered the show a good deal of controversy. Not to mention the fact that the success of the program was built around the behavior of a 6-year-old who, if not televised for entertainment purposes, should have been evaluated by a physician or two.

But still, the show plowed forward, people watched, and Honey Boo Boo burrowed her way into the hearts of many viewers.

Until one of the show's more insidious plotlines was revealed. Last October, news broke that Mama June's daughter and cast member of Here Comes Honey Boo, Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell, had been brutally and repeatedly molested by Mama June's then-boyfriend, Mark McDaniel, in 2002, when Anna was 8 years old.

McDaniel was sentenced to ten years in prison and released in March 2014. Since his release, photos have emerged showing Mama June with McDaniel. Her daughter, Honey Boo Boo, was seen in the photos with them.

The show has since been canceled, and suddenly it all becomes very sad. The zany high jinks of this American family becomes twisted and heartbreaking upon a second viewing, especially knowing what Anna Cardwell had to endure and what the then-3-year-old daughter, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon, allegedly had to watch.

But we got off track there a bit. Back to her appearance!

Mama June, who recently announced she is bisexual, will be flaunting her 40-plus-pound weight loss this Saturday at the Crazy Horse in Pompano, located at 1820 NW 21st St. So make sure you get down to Pompano this Saturday!

Or don't. She gets paid regardless.
