School spirit will be in full effect at Florida Atlantic University as the campus hosts a bonfire to kick off the school year. And nothing says school spirit like the university president + the football team + a terrifying/clownish rap/rock band from L.A.

Hollywood Undead — who used to wear horror movie-style masks — has been stirring things up since 2008, and it is currently touring in support of its album Day of the Dead, featuring the single "Gravity."

According to FAU, Thursday night's bonfire and concert are open to the public:

The bonfire will begin at 7 p.m. on the west side of campus near the track and field, with a concert by Hollywood Undead scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. at the Student Union outdoor stage.

FAU President John Kelly, FAU Head Football Coach Charlie Partridge, as well as members of the football team are scheduled to attend the bonfire, which is free of charge.

The Hollywood Undead concert is free of charge to FAU students with their OWL Card, and general public tickets are $10. Tickets are available at the FAU Student Union Box Office at 800-745-3000 or www.fauevents.com, or at www.ticketmaster.com.

The event is an FAU tradition which brings FAU students and the community together prior to the first home football game each season. The FAU Owls are schedule to play the University of Miami at FAU Stadium on Friday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m.
