Greetings, fellow penny-pinchers! It's time for your weekly rundown of all the super cool, yet refreshingly cheap stuff you should do this weekend. As we're all aware, it's Halloween time, so we made sure to give this list a spooky twist. Read on for deets on this weekend's most cost-effective  ways to get down. It's two straight days of crazy costume wearing, so join in!

Hulaween
5 p.m. Friday, October 30, at Mai-Kai, 3599 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Visit Facebook

The 7th annual Hulaween is happening at Mai-Kai, and we can’t think of anything more simultaneously tropical or creepy. Slip and the Spinouts will be throwing down with their musical tunes with not one, not two, but three sets of their rockabilly sound. There's also a costume contest, half-price tiki cocktails until 7 p.m., giveaways, and more. This may be one of your only chances to dress up as a tropical zombie.

The Night Before Halloween
6 p.m. Friday, October 30, at Absent Heart Studios, 3685 Investment Lane, West Palm Beach. $10 cover, $8 in costume Visit Facebook

This West Palm party will feature tons of goulishy good entertainment. Bury December, Deviant, Fall as Villains The Truth Untold, Newfound Line, Bury December, and even more will be jamming out to your heart’s (or black soul’s) content. This is Bury December’s last show and Newfound Line’s first show, so there's plenty of rock 'n' roll rising from the dead here. Cover is $2 off for those in costume, so indulge in the creepy spirit. Both the dead and undead are invited.

4th Annual Halloween at Black Rose Irish Pub
8 p.m. Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, at the Black Rose Irish Pub, 234 S. Federal Hwy., Boca Raton. No cover. Visit Facebook

Ring in Halloween and Hallow’s Eve at Boca’s Black Rose Irish Pub. Friday night will feature music from DJ Frankie and Y100’s DJ Drew. The Wicked Ways Sideshow ladies will show off their fire dancing skills, put on a burlesque show, and dole out more sexy surprises as well. There will also be a costume contest at midnight. Come back for round two on Halloween for performances by Camp Devlin, Horror Business and Butch & The Fat Doobs. So much ghoul, so little time.
Viva Le Vox Reunion and Halloween Night Sideshow Spectacular
10 p.m. Saturday, October 31, at Dada, 52 N. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach. No cover. Visit Facebook

“Freak swamp rockers” Viva Le Vox will be spookily jamming out at their reunion at Dada. Besides these tunes, there will also be sideshow antics from Dangerfun featuring a bed of nails, fire, and who else knows what. Participate if you dare.

Famous Monthly Tea Dance

4 p.m. Sunday, November 1, at Flip Flops Dockside Eatery. 3051 NE 32nd Ave., Fort Lauderdale. No cover. Visit Facebook

Need some hair of the dog after this crazy scary weekend? Join hostess Amanda Austin and guests Sharde L. Ross, Alandra Matthews, and Miata Monroe for some laughs and fun. But don’t laugh too hard — your head may still be pounding. $3 drinks will be sure to cure your hangover — not! But if you’re born in November, at least you get to participate in a free toast.
