Experience Hendrix
Nothing will ever compare to seeing Jimi Hendrix murder a six-string live in action, but Experience Hendrix — a traveling revue that plays all the classic Hendrix cuts in an homage to a still-larger-than-life American legend — sure does come close to it. Featuring fellow guitar heros Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Eric Johnson, and Dweezil Zappa, the current troupe has added bassist Billy Cox — the only surviving member of Hendrix's three main bands — to its lineup. Do yourself a favor and don't miss it.

With Billy Cox, Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang, Dweezil Zappa, and others. Wednesday, February 24, 8 p.m. Hard Rock Live, 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood; 954-797-5531; hardrocklivehollywoodfl.com. Tickets cost $40 to $80 plus fees via ticketmaster.com.

Iron Maiden
Though "metal" — as pointed out by New Times — "now signifies a net wide enough to include something for just about everyone, there's one thing almost all metal fans agree upon: Iron Maiden is still the titan against which all others are to be measured." Pay your respects to the kings of metal — and while you're at it, make a pit stop at drummer (and South Florida resident) Nicko McBrain's barbecue restaurant, Rock N Roll Ribs in Coral Springs — this week at the BB&T Center.

The Book of Souls World Tour 2016 with the Raven Age. Wednesday, February 24, 7:50 p.m. BB&T Center, One Panther Pkwy., Sunrise; 954-835-8000; thebbtcenter.com. Tickets cost $55 to $150 plus fees via ticketmaster.com.

Fall Out Boy
Fall Out Boy has come a long way since their Take This to Your Grave days, but the Chi-Town rockers will forever be known as the band that started the emo-rock movement. But this week, the guys will be showing off their "Irresistible" rockish ways with AWOLNATION and Pvris during their Wintour Is Coming gig at the Hard Rock Live.

Wintour Is Coming with AWOLNATION and Pvris. Friday, February 26, 7 p.m. Hard Rock Live, One Seminole Way, Hollywood; 954-797-5531; hardrocklivehollywoodfl.com. Tickets cost $45 to $105 plus fees via ticketmaster.com.

Riverwalk Blues and Music Festival
"I sing soul," blues singer Johnny Rawls recently told New Times. "I stand out because I do original songs that have a good beat to them. It’s a different side to the blues. I take a lot of time and effort to write songs so they don't sound like they were just thrown together. In order to stand out, you have to write great songs." Check out the "great songs" Rawls talks about this week as the songwriter — and a handful of like-minded musicians — sing the blues at the Riverwalk Blues and Music Festival.

With Johnny Rawls, Jason Ricci, Chris O'Leary, Albert Castiglia, Nikki Hill, JP Soars and the Red Hots, Joey Gilmore, Joey DaSilva and the Midnight Howl, and more. Friday to Sunday, February 26 to 28. Esplanade Park, 400 SW Second St., Fort Lauderdale; 954-828-5000; riverwalkae.com. Tickets cost $15 to $25 per day. Visit riverwalkblues.com.

Put It Aside's How Soon You Forget... Release Show
Rage until your eardrums explode with Put It Aside as the "straightforward, hardcore straightedge band with '90s youth crew influence" celebrates the release of their latest record, How Soon You Forget... at Jump the Shark. As guitarist Jared Hutcherson told New Times: "This band and this record are things we wanted to do because we all love hardcore and being straightedge, and nothing anyone could say could make us feel otherwise." Sounds like a party to us.

With Day by Day, Drawing Last Breath, Earthmother, Dome of Obedience, and one more TBA. Friday, February 26, 6 p.m. Jump the Shark, 810 NE Fourth Ave., Fort Lauderdale; facebook.com/jumpthesharkevents. Tickets cost $12 and include a complimentary copy of Put It Aside's How Soon You Forget... on vinyl. All ages.

Reunion! I Want My '80s Back Concert
"Only In [Your] Dreams" would you ever be able to relive the magic of the '80s. Unless, of course, you live in South Florida and have tickets to the Reunion! I Want My '80s Back Concert this week. Join Debbie Gibson, A Flock of Seagulls, Information Society, Wang Chung, Modern English, and Nu Shooz as they dance the night away to some of the biggest pop hits of the 1980s at the Mizner Park Amphitheater.

The Beach Boys
John Stamos may be remembered for his role as the hunky Uncle Jesse on the ABC sitcom, Full House, but Stamos also used to jam with the Beach Boys back in the '80s. And this week, he'll be unleashing his inner Beach Boy once again as he rocks with the "Surf City" band during their gig at the Hard Rock Live.

With John Stamos. Saturday, February 27, 8 p.m. Hard Rock Live, One Seminole Way, Hollywood; 954-797-5531; hardrocklivehollywoodfl.com. Tickets cost $49 to $69 plus fees via ticketmaster.com.

Rosanne Cash
As a Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, Grammy award-winning artist, and eldest daughter of Johnny Cash and his first wife, Vivian Liberto, Rosanne Cash proves that talent runs in the family. Watch her this week as she's joined by her husband — and fellow Grammy award-winning musician — John Leventhal at the Parker Playhouse.

With John Leventhal. Saturday, February 27, 8 p.m. Parker Playhouse, 707 NE Eighth St., Fort Lauderdale; 954-761-5374; parkerplayhouse.org. Tickets cost $45 to $75 plus fees via ticketmaster.com.
