http://www.stoutsportsbarandgrill.com Found in the unlikely neighborhood of Oakland Park is the recently opened Stout Irish Pub. Formerly known as Biddy Early's, this Irish pub has gotten quite a face-lift. Exposed brick walls are covered with a myriad of televisions broadcasting the latest sports happenings. There are even personal TVs in the comfy leather booths. How's that for a game-watching experience? A long bar fills up one end of the room and has plenty of seating for those wanting to do some mingling. With more than 20 beers on draft and several in the bottle, there is no shortage of brews to choose from. Run by the folks of the beachside McSorley's, this casual drinking hole is a cozy spot for a beer away from the downtown hustle. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>
The large neon green sign lights your way to enter the belly of Stratford's Bar. Mismatched bar stools haphazardly flank a wooden bar covered in scuff marks. A jukebox flanks one end of the bar area, and a shuffleboard table takes up most of the space on the wall opposite the bar. A second room features pool tables and darts. Kick back with a Bud Light and a cherry bomb shot: cherry vodka dropped into a rocks glass filled with Red Bull. Good news for the budget-conscious: Draft beers are always $1.75, and during happy hour, they're $1.25. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>
This former biker bar sits in a nondescript shopping center on 26th Street and Federal Highway, hidden by longtime eatery Egg & You Diner. Seemingly lifeless outside, customers walk into a sepia-toned cave populated by locals, a pool table, two dart boards, and some black-and-white photos of old Florida landmarks like famous bars and pre-construction spots on Sunrise and A1A. Sit down at the long wooden bar, and friendly service awaits you, but not a large selection of booze. If you don't mind drinking a Budweiser, the bar's charm lies in your ability to retreat with a beer, watch the various TVs, and not be bothered. Friendly locals are ready to share a game of pool or darts, but unless your idea of fun is keeping to yourself or having a conversation with a friend - a highly underrated, almost obsolete way to pass time in Downtown Fort Lauderdale - Skeeter's doesn't offer any kind of excitement or visual stimulation aside from what you make on your own or with friends. It is as nondescript inside as it is on the outside as the white walls stretch inside to hold you in the comfortable space. Led Zeppelin, always on heavy rotation at Skeeter's, blares from the jukebox. But not too loud: a major plus if you want to avoid the blasted eardrums of nights spent on Himmarshee. Suite 100 feels worlds away from the other downscale eateries and bars in the Fort Lauderdale Riverfront. It boasts views of the river and million-dollar yachts from the outside bar. Inside, a striking cracked-glass motif glows fluorescent on columns and within the bar. Sit by candlelight at the tables outside, or grab a martini under the high ceilings. Either way, it will prove a much-needed break from dance parties nearby. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>
http://www.seminolecoconutcreekcasino.com Outside the Coconut Creek Casino doors is the Sunset Grill, a tiki bar with a relaxing environment away from the gambling hype. An oval-shaped wooden bar fills the open-air space. Flat-screen televisions hang from the ceiling, showing the latest happenings in sports and entertainment. Although the bar is outdoors, no need to worry about the heat, with misting fans keeping the place cool. In addition to a variety of beers on tap and fruity mixed drinks, the Sunset Grill has a wide selection of burgers and snacks. Casual and laid-back, the Sunset Grill is the casino's spot for unwinding after a long day at the poker tables. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>

It's open seven days a week, and happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 7 p.m. The kitchen is open until 2:30 a.m. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>
http://www.sweetwater33.com Inside Sweetwater, the bar is brooding, framed by exposed brick, hardwood floors, and low light. Behind the bar, you're likely to find Sean Iglehart, a self-proclaimed bar man whose passion is mixology. It may take awhile to get a drink here, but that's because these handcrafted cocktails are among the finest around. Quality ingredients — homemade bitters, fresh fruit juices, esoteric gins, or bitter Amaro — go into classic recipes from yesteryear, such as a Ramos gin fizz, made with Plymouth sloe gin, lemon, simple syrup, club soda, egg whites, and a garnish in a highball glass. Or go for the Aviation, a lovely concoction of gin and the purplish Creme de Violette. Allow yourself the time and piece of mind to savor one (or three).
