http://www.nativeflorida.net There's no sign outside alerting you to this Hollywood music venue and fine brew hot spot. But somehow you'll find your way into the Native Florida Tap Room and Music Hall. The venue is owned by Carl "Kilmo" Pacillo, whose beloved venue Alligator Alley closed in 2009. Since its doors opened, Native Florida Tap Room has booked a solid lineup of musical acts, featuring blues, rock, jazz, punk, funk, and folk, both by locals and out-of-towners. The comfortable bar sports an impressive array of microbrews, craft beers, and cider, both bottled and with 18 options on tap. Don't forget your cash, shirt, and shoes. These are required. Oh, and your taste for live music. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>
Paolo's 3's Company is a family-owned Italian restaurant in Dania Beach. Photographs of Marilyn Monroe, Sly Stallone, and other movie icons decorate the walls. High-backed wooden booths covered with white tablecloths and red and green settings make this a traditional environment. The bar follows the same Italian-flag color scheme. There is a large floor to dance to live entertainment every weekend, and there's a monthly cabaret dinner show. Happy hour is from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday through Friday. A large, screened-in patio provides outdoor seating as well as a spot for events such as "The Artists' Corner," featuring local art on the second Sunday of each month and cooking classes with Chef Paolo the first Tuesday of each month. http://www.quarterdeckrestaurants.com Quarterdeck expands its lineup with a sixth South Florida location situated on top of the pier in Dania Beach. Taking up a sizable portion of the wood-planked pier, this neighborhood restaurant and bar is undoubtedly the most glamorous of the six locations, featuring panoramic views of the ocean, walls lined with large LED screens playing underwater-themed screensavers, two full liquor bars and a sushi bar, and ample outdoor seating, both on the pier and on the sand. An eclectic mix of tourists and locals old and young fill up the bars to take in the spectacular ocean views while enjoying frozen cocktails with platefuls of fresh mussels and other sea fare. If the all-day, every-day happy hour isn't enough to lure you in, the live music and relaxed beach atmosphere make for a great place to watch the sun go down. http://www.sasmartinilounge.com Formerly known as the Sauer Apple Saloon, the SAS Martini Lounge is everything but a bar that can be found in an old Western movie. The bar's recent face-lift is that of a upscale club meets trendy beach hangout, minus the hassle of VIPs and velvet ropes. The dimly lit lounge is illuminated by paper lanterns dangling above the dance floor, with wooden mirrors lining the walls and mod couches for a cozier option opposite the metal high-top chairs. The dance floor is packed in the late-night hours, but during the day, the SAS Martini Lounge is a more relaxed environment. In staying true to its martini-lounge theme, the specialty drink menu is extensive, with flavorful and fruity cocktails. In addition to the full liquor and beer selections, SAS has a tapas-style menu with small-plate salads, traditional Greek platters, and baked Brie. http://www.shenaniganseastsidepub.com Following in the footsteps of its sister location, Shenanigans East Side Pub is the Dania Beach spot to go to for a laid-back night of drinking or late-night snacks with friends. http://www.spiceresto-lounge.com There's a lot of pure, joyous animal charisma circulating at Spice Resto-Lounge. There are women in leopard-print cat suits and in spandex tank tops, in tiny, fringed minis that shimmy with every jut of the hip. There are lantern-jawed men with dark hair pulled into ponytails and pumped-up guys with shaved heads and designer eyewear. Flat-bellied, pierced, tattooed -- the staff here treats clothing like an optional accessory. Everything about Spice Resto-Lounge is cool without trying, from the easygoing supper-club menu of steaks, fresh fish, salads, and starters at reasonable prices to the Latin-themed cocktails to the nonstop entertainment that includes a lively house band, meringue dancers, and a bossa nova duo. You've tumbled down the rabbit hole and found yourself in Wonderland, only in this tall tale, Alice is wearing a G-string. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>
The large neon green sign lights your way to enter the belly of Stratford's Bar. Mismatched bar stools haphazardly flank a wooden bar covered in scuff marks. A jukebox flanks one end of the bar area, and a shuffleboard table takes up most of the space on the wall opposite the bar. A second room features pool tables and darts. Kick back with a Bud Light and a cherry bomb shot: cherry vodka dropped into a rocks glass filled with Red Bull. Good news for the budget-conscious: Draft beers are always $1.75, and during happy hour, they're $1.25. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>

For Fulvio Sardelli Jr., opening the Tipsy Boar is like coming full circle in his cooking career. Sardelli started in kitchens as a child at his family's restaurant, Franco's Pizzeria in Davie, which moved and became Fulvio's 1900 – a still-standing institution in downtown Hollywood. While the food at his parents' joints (they opened a second restaurant, the upscale, beachfront Sardelli's, in 2012) has gotten fancier over the years, Fulvio Jr. wanted to open a gastropub-style restaurant where he could drink beer, watch sports, and find the deep-fried food he likes to eat after a long shift. He enlisted the help of Michael Blum – a once-hot Hollywood chef who ran Michael's Kitchen before fleeing to Palm Beach Gardens, then going off the radar for a few years – to create a menu that goes well beyond French fries and chicken wings. A Reuben spring roll comes with corned beef twisted inside a wrapper and fried until crispy. Lobster corn dogs are filled with generous chunks of sweet lobster meat. The dishes may change, but the beer list should stay steady with 40-odd choices. A not-too-hipster scene draws a diverse crowd. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>
Pool, pool, and more pool. This is what Toby's Billiards in Downtown Hollywood is all about. Smokey and dimly lit, the almost windowless joint is a dream home away from home for the local pool sharks. Trophies fill glass cases, neon signs illuminate the walls, and the room is packed with tables. While the décor might be nothing to write home about, the patrons will surely keep the night exciting. Never an empty glass in the house and boy are the drinks cheap. Open 365 days a year, Toby's Billiards is rarely quiet. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>
Steps from the sand and surf on the Hollywood Broadwalk is Toucan's Oceanside Bar. This casual spot is idea for beachgoers looking to replenish their thirst with a couple of cold brews or a frozen margarita. You won't find any cheesy T-shirts or fanny packs here; the crowd is mostly locals. A wooden bar fills one end of the interior, and there is seating inside and out. A handful of TVs projects the latest sports games, but the ocean view provides for some worthwhile eye candy. Oysters, sliders, and tacos are among the popular menu choices, with live bands on the weekend and drink specials throughout the week. Amid the colorful array of bars and restaurants on the downtown Hollywood strip is Venom, a new rock ’n’ roll club. Surrounded by an iron gate, the outdoor bar area is filled with comfy seating and tables. Inside the rather large venue, a bar illuminated by twinkle lights fills up one side of the room where barstools wrap around in. Toward the back is a stage where various live bands, both metal and cover, play several nights of the night. The walls are painted bright purple and adorned with music and beer memorabilia. In addition to pool tables and jukeboxes to hold your attention, there are several nightly specials and events. Venom Rock Bar is completely casual, and the folks inside have an anything-goes, no-holds-barred attitude. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Walshs-Irish-Sports-Pub/162099170483081?fref=ts Part Irish pub, part pimped-out man cave, Walsh's Pub is a charming pot of gold on Federal Highway in Hollywood Beach. Vintage Guinness posters, leprechaun paraphernalia, and other Irish kitsch deck the halls of this establishment along with the odd, bubbling dragon fountain and a host of inflatable Jameson bottles. Walsh's has a full bar, an assortment of imported beer, and several domestic beers on tap, including the bar's namesake, Walsh's Irish Red, a sweet, nutty variety. Although most of the action is centered around the pub's expansive bar, there is also plenty to do on the sidelines, including Ping-Pong, pool, videogames, and darts. Catch the big game on one of six large televisions, or enjoy the view at Thursday's live music and lingerie show. Take advantage of daily happy-hour specials from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, or chill outside and enjoy $3 bloody marys and mimosas on Sunday. http://www.whiskeytangofl.com Whiskey Tango is a common term in military circles to describe white trash, and the owners of the all-American bar and grill bearing the same name revel in that fact. Advertised as redneck cool, trailer-park fabulous, and white-trash chic, Hollywood's WT is clearly aiming for a clientele more concerned about good food and drink than paying attention to the labels on their clothing. Two pool tables, an electronic-touch poker table, a boxing machine, steel-tipped darts, a basketball hoop, and more than a dozen high-definition televisions prove WT is the sports mecca of downtown Hollywood.
