B.B. King's Restaurant & Blues Club

Catch live blues, rock, reggae, funk, and other acts at this CityPlace venue, where the menu is as soulful as the music. Prices are moderate, though for a few acts, there's a cover charge and limited seating, especially when B.B. and Lucille show up.

  • Dirty Martini

    Dirty Martini

11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Ave. Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410
    561-799-1115

http://www.dirtymartinipalmbeach.com/rcpsp/Home.aspx Dirty Martini is Palm Beach County’s newest offering from the dark prince of late-night hot spots, Cleve Mash (Feelgoods, Monarchy). This upscale martini lounge nails the casual-chic formula, with a chilled-out atmosphere and heavy mixing performed by bartenders who have been through rigorous training and testing. A premium martini list ($12 to $16) brims with twists on classic favorites, and the food menu offers gastropub-style small plates with an Asian bent ($8 to $18). Try the Charlie Sheen dirty martini (note the three olives cuddling on the toothpick), paired with shrimp and vegetable egg rolls, a surprisingly greaseless taste explosion accented by the chef’s own kimchee sweet-and-sour dipping sauce. Dirty draws in the young professionals with a nightly dose of free entertainment and a trifecta of bars (outdoor patio, stage, and upper-level lounge). Rooms are swathed in dark, warm wood paneling and accented with glittering glass chandeliers. The interior bar transforms to a dance floor for events like Wednesday’s ladies’ night. 10971 N. Military Trail Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410
    561-691-4366

http://www.paddymacspub.com Real Irish hospitality is on tap for visitors to this traditional Irish pub in the Gardens, tucked on the north side of the Publix plaza. It's got a neighborly feel, with longtime employees helping owner Ken Wade spread the Irish cheer in the warm, wood-paneled eatery with indoor, bar, and patio seating. You'll rub elbows with golf pros and politicos as well as regular Joes at the cozy bar, where they toss back a pint or two. The food here is not an afterthought to the drinks. The menu features Erie traditions like filling pot pies -- cottage, shepherd's, steak and mushroom, or fisherman's versions: bangers and mash, salmon "leap," and fish and chips. Then there's shrimp and scallop ala vodka, New York strip steak, diver scallops with king crab risotto, chicken Parmesan, and three-nut crusted dolphin. A variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads completes the menu. Live entertainment is featured weekly, and the place rocks all night on March 17 for one of the largest St. Pat's Day parties in the county. Read more about Paddy Mac's >>
