With its slew of nightlife venues, the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood is the equivalent of a Disney World for adults, and 88's Dueling Pianos is its Space Mountain. It's here that pianos literally engage in duels several nights a week. The line-up also includes an '80s night, a karaoke night, and a rock and roll show. So you won't miss it, a giant mural of piano keys is painted on the wall. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>
What you may not know is that nestled in the "Oasis" - the outdoor division of the mall, near Ron Jon Surf Shop and the movie theaters - is a complete sports bar and pool hall, offering the perfect spot to take a break from the madness. The Billiard Club has two other locations in Miami Lakes and Davie, but the Sawgrass location has developed its own fan base of concertgoers (BankAtlantic Center is right next door, so expect preconcert specials and afterparties), mall walkers, and sports fans. UFC fans, rejoice: All paid fights air live at the Billiard Club, but you better arrive early, because seats fill fast. Nearby employees also frequent the spacious, brick-walled locale for "in the biz" specials, including free pool Sunday and Monday. And while you can take your pick of more than 40 specialty cocktails, the drink specials may be a better bet: Wednesday is "Bucket Night" (four for $10), and it's happy hour every day from open to 8 p.m., when you can get two-for-one Amstel Light, Miller Lite, and Heineken drafts as well as double well drinks for the price of a single. There's a sprawling menu of munchies to choose from; popular choices include standard appetizer fare like wings, calamari, and spinach dip - and the Phillys are always in high-demand. Come in Monday through Friday and order a drink or food item and get a free hour of pool. Night owl? Head to the Billiard Club on Friday or Saturday nights, when pool is free from 2 to 4 a.m. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>
Quaint and casual, Buzz's Bar is a neighborhood watering hole for folks just looking for a bit of laid-back fun. It's filled with all the typical bar accouterments: With dartboards, pool tables, and videogames, there is no shortage of toys to complement the ice-cold brews. The exposed brick walls are adorned in sports memorabilia, beer décor, and flat-screen TVs projecting the latest sports happenings. A large wooden center bar filled with draft beers and liquors is usually packed, so be prepared to squeeze through the crowd. On one end of the room, a stage takes up a corner for karaoke lovers and lively music acts to show off their skills. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>
http://www.kingsheadpubsunrise.com The Kingshead British Pub Sunrise is a small but cozy Tudor-style pub and restaurant with a friendly British and American staff. Offering more than 50 beers, ales, ciders, and stouts, the pub is a favorite for craft beer drinkers. The menu is composed of hearty classics such as authentic English pot pies and handmade Black Angus burgers (Royale with cheese). British favorites include beer-battered cod and hand-cut chips, Scotch eggs, cottage pie, and several other hard-to-find dishes. Many specialty items are imported from across the pond: Walkers English Crisps, Brandston pickles, and Heinz Baked Beans. The pub features live music Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday and an open-mic night on Tuesday. Read more about this Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach bar or club >>
