http://www.santolounge.com It's only fitting that a nightclub named Santo - Spanish for saint - shares its address with a multimillion-dollar casino. shares its address with a multimillion-dollar casino. Originally on South Beach's Lincoln Road, Santo relocated to Hallandale Beach's Gulfstream Park in the summer of 2010. Though the area's nightlife was seemingly nonexistent, this 4,000-square-foot, urban-chic lounge attracts an upscale South Florida crowd from Boca to Brickell. Located on the second floor of the casino complex, Santo offers full bar and bottle service. As is the case with most ultralounges, Santo isn't cheap - $20 cover after midnight - but the people are beautiful and the staff is gracious, thus justifying the price of admission. The lounge gets busy after midnight, and it's not uncommon to see young lovers flirting and scantily clad women dancing atop the bar. More >>
http://www.scorebar.net Adonis is in the house, South Beach style. Good luck getting past the attitude, though. Since its inception Score has been the epicenter of the well-coifed and tightly muscled set, and it can be tough to break into those tight-knit cliques, though things get looser as the night goes on. This Boynton Beach pub is tucked away in an unassuming plaza in a quiet suburb. But for being smack dab in the middle of a suburban nightmare, it kicks out a hearty dose of punk rock. Local boys Die Stinkin and Billy Boloby have all caused good-natured riots here at one point or another. The narrow confines keep you impossibly close to the music and even closer to the bar. And that's always a good thing. More >>

Friday and Saturday provide karaoke entertainment. During Bingo on a Sunday night, you could win a free bar tab to come back at a later time. Enjoy a Sunday sports tailgate party with beer specials. Whether you prefer a sophisticated gentleman, sports buff, or a metrosexual, you'll have a good time. More >>
Finally, a place where smokers don't have to feel ostracized. Smoke Café, nestled in a colorful, Old Florida plaza off A1A and Oakland Park, offers its customers more than 100 types of cigars, along with hookah tobacco. The hearty aroma wafts around the entrance, greeting you at the door or as you walk by to other neighborhood businesses like Bruce's Tattoo shop or the famous Café Martorano. The wooden décor and wall-sized wine rack give the small space a cozy yet sophisticated feel. In a not-so-sophisticated turn, customers can also power up the Wii for some videogame fun. Smoke Café doesn't serve liquor, but it carries wine, 50 kinds of beer, and sake. Free food is served on Monday and Tuesday with the purchase of smokes or drink. More >>
Sonny's Stardust Lounge is an institution around these parts. Creative types have inhabited its dark corners, rockers have frequented the punk shows that owner Sonny Scott used to host, and many a country line dancer has do-si-doed her way across the dance floor. Never been there? You'll surely recognize it as the imposing, sometimes ominous-looking, two-story white building off Powerline in Fort Lauderdale. Loads of offbeat blues and country acts have come through Sonny's over the past 30 years, and the jukebox, fittingly, avoids the Billboard charts. (Ask Sonny about his time as a country-music star.) Walk inside and the décor looks like it hasn't been changed since it opened, complete with retro-rific diagonal mirrors and '70s-era wood paneling. You'll be hard-pressed to stand; there are tables and seats everywhere. This comes in handy when you watch the gems Sonny shows on his big-screen projection TV. More >>

http://www.southshorestavern.com The real star of this Lake Worth attraction is the tiki-style back patio, nestled deep in tropical brush, with wooden high-tops that radiate out from the circular bar. http://www.spiceresto-lounge.com There's a lot of pure, joyous animal charisma circulating at Spice Resto-Lounge. There are women in leopard-print cat suits and in spandex tank tops, in tiny, fringed minis that shimmy with every jut of the hip. There are lantern-jawed men with dark hair pulled into ponytails and pumped-up guys with shaved heads and designer eyewear. Flat-bellied, pierced, tattooed -- the staff here treats clothing like an optional accessory. Everything about Spice Resto-Lounge is cool without trying, from the easygoing supper-club menu of steaks, fresh fish, salads, and starters at reasonable prices to the Latin-themed cocktails to the nonstop entertainment that includes a lively house band, meringue dancers, and a bossa nova duo. You've tumbled down the rabbit hole and found yourself in Wonderland, only in this tall tale, Alice is wearing a G-string. More >>
The Sports Corner is a haven for Pennsylvania transplants. http://www.stagedoortheatre.com Situated near a supermarket, a sports bar, and a bowling alley in a Coral Springs strip mall, the Stage Door enjoys a prime location for the suburban everyman looking to expand his cultural horizons. The theater's repertoire, however, has all the edge of a circle, playing to an elderly demographic that just can't get enough Neil Simon comedies and mothballed Broadway musicals. The venue has two adjacent theaters, a stage for large-scale spectacles, and a smaller black box for intimate plays. Keep an eye on both; every now and then, a compelling piece of musical theater will emerge. More >>
