http://www.dublinerboca.com Even if it's not St. Patty's Day and your heart doesn't pump green blood, there's no reason not to indulge in a little Irish living from time to time. Boca pub the Dubliner takes your liver and taste buds straight to Erin with its two-for-one deal on Guinness on Wednesdays and dishes including Guinness cheese fondue and shepherd's pie. Located in the ultraposh Mizner Park, the Dubliner boasts a beautiful mahogany décor and bar, beers from around the globe, indoor and outdoor tables, and communal counters that resemble upscale cafeteria seating. Befriending other customers is a snap, especially during karaoke night. Local bands and performers frequently grace the stage. Tuesdays include trivia night, and Monday's karaoke night includes a free first drink for those who participate. How's that for incentive to take your act from the shower to the stage? More >>
http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Original-Duck-Tavern/137524096300208 Worlds away from the lavish establishments of Boca, the Duck Tavern is where the hard drinkers about town choose to knock back a cold one. The interior looks a little dilapidated, but in a good way. Barstools are a bit torn, old newspaper write-ups grace the exposed-brick wall, and cigarette smoke permeates the air. Outside Boca's standards, the Duck is hardly a dive. Customers have tons of sitting space, and the bar serves countless exotic beers from places like Chile, Japan, Ethiopia, and Israel, to name just a few. The bartenders are friendly but definitely emit the take-no-shit attitude that coincides with the Duck's sometimes-downtrodden clientele. The Duck also offers great specials, perks, and events like half-off drinks if you wear a Duck Tavern shirt on Monday. Bottomless drafts on Wednesday and Saturday, Wi-Fi for those who can drink and work simultaneously, and free poker tournaments on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays -- buy-in is at 8 p.m. More >>
http://www.funkybiscuit.com The Funky Biscuit brings a new type of casual atmosphere to the surrounding Mizner Park area. Vast in size, the venue has a large stage near the entrance that plays home to live musical acts and local aspiring comedians. Adjacent to the stage is an enormous marble bar with mirrored shelving and a few large flat-screen TVs. Vintage rock 'n' roll photos and artwork decorate the dark walls, making the bar feel like an old New York rock joint. Stocked with a full liquor bar and beer options as well as a few small-plate options, the Funky Biscuit provides the local college scene and 30-somethings with a laid-back option within the Boca Raton nightlife scene. http://www.myspace.com/kahuna_deerfield Kahuna Bar and Grill is a casual beachfront watering hole in Deerfield Beach with frozen drinks, live music four nights a week (Wednesday through Saturday), and a lively local crowd. http://www.mizneramphitheater.com Owned and operated by the City of Boca Raton, this outdoor venue can fit more than 4,000 people inside its al fresco confines, but here’s the thing: You don’t have to be inside the amphitheater to enjoy its benefits. Because of Mizner Park’s layout, one can hear the tunes from almost any outdoor location in the shopping/dining ’plex, provided he or she can secure a sidewalk table within a suitable timeframe ahead of the show. Of course, if you want to actually see the stage and get the full concert experience, the site hosts free concerts on a routine basis and midpriced national acts -- including tons of dad-friendly nostalgia rock, plenty of ’tween favorites, and fine-pedigreed rockers – pass through on a monthly basis. Packy's, a laid-back sports bar in west Boca Raton, caters to families for lunch and dinner and to local drinkers looking for a relaxed environment to watch a Jets game. Jets jerseys line the walls and servers boast thick New York accents when they suggest the buffalo wings. Neon beer signs light the periphery of the large space as people gather at the rectangle bar in the middle of the room. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. But the real draw are the Voodoo Juice buckets filled with five types of rum and cranberry, orange, and pineapple juice for $8. More >>
Tricky Dick's is a casual, blue-collar spot by day, and a lively gathering of 20-somethings by night -- especially on Mondays from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., when women drink free. Located off 441 in west Boca Raton, this low-key watering hole boasts the regular bar swag: beer signs and lots of sports on the TVs. At night, the dance floor packs a DJ, two pool tables, darts, booths, and a whole lot of bodies vibing to electronica and old-school hip hop. Though during the day, the jukebox pumps out classic rock. The island bar divides the room, seemingly between partiers and onlookers. And it also opens up into a package store on one side. Tricky Dick's has a 23-hour license, so the party starts at 7 a.m. and ends at 5 a.m. More >>
http://www.turn3sportsbar.com Vroom. Vroom. Rev up those engines. Turn 3 Sports Bar is just around the corner, waiting to become your home away from home. Tucked away in Sandlefoot Plaza in Boca Raton, this neighborhood-style sports bar is a spot for kicking back with a beer and unwinding after a long day at work. Family owned and run, this cozy watering hole has a myriad of accouterments to complement a night of drinking. Trophies and beer memorabilia line the walls, but the folks inside give this place all its character. With darts to pool tables and hours extending until 5 a.m., there is no telling what will happen after a few rounds of beers. Open seven days a week, there are drink specials throughout the day and live music onstage almost every night of the week. More >>
A little hint of the Emerald Isle can be found just beyond the doors of the Wishing Well Irish Pub in Boca Raton. The high-ceilinged and roomy pub is located in the heart of the city at Mizner Village. Although the interior feels a bit like the old city of Dublin, the wide variety of flat-screen TVs, dartboards, and pool tables makes any patron feel right at home. In addition to the inside, there is also an outdoor garden patio for those looking to escape and take in the surroundings. Not only is there a colorful array of beers and liquors to choose from but there are traditional delights on hand like bangers and mash or a succulent shepherd's pie to fuel those Irish cravings. So take a load off and wash the day's troubles away with a hearty pint of Guinness or Harp, or try your luck with a stiff shot of Irish whiskey. More >>
