Lunchtime discussion featuring Fort Lauderdale-based multimedia artist Jen Clay, whose work is influenced by children’s educational TV shows. Clay will explore how these shows use edutainment and applied behavior analysis to encourage learning and curiosity. Clay creates wearable and performative sculptures for video works that explore feelings of trauma and abuse, and creates live versions of her video series, which incorporate aesthetics from 1990’s puppet shows and magic acts.
Free for museum members: $10 non-members. Limited seating. RSVP required: firstname.lastname@example.org or 954-262-0258. Lunch may be pre-ordered from the museum café.
