The Surviving Adulthood Course is designed for High School students. The goal of this class is to provide students with skills and tools to be independant and self-reliant adults. Being self-reliant not only creates more confident individuals, but it also limits dependability on others in order to meet basic needs.
The course consists of 5 classes which can be taken separately ($25 per class) or as an all-inclusive course ($95 for all 5 classes):
September 13th, Class 1 - Introduction to Checking and Credit
September 20th, Class 2 - Household Management
September 27th, Class 3 - On the Quest for a Job
October 4th, Class 4 - Personal Interactions and Beyond
October 11th, Class 5 - Organizational Skills
Meet the Instructor:
Amy Daumit holds dual degrees in education and worked as a certified teacher in four states, including Florida. She also worked at Sylvan Learning Center as a Director of Education, Center Director, and Area Director. Amy has gone on to found Forget Me Not Advocacy Group and is dedicated to educating our young men and women into strong, self-reliant, individuals.
