Those who hunger for the ecstasy of movement (these people exist) know that if you're a true hip-shaker, all you need is ground. A true dancer or drunk doesn't even need music, but if there is ground and music, there is no stopping him (or her) from kicking, stomping, and twisting.
It's Friday, dancers. Here is where you you can show off your pelvic thrust: at the West Palm Beach staple dance night "Transmission Fridays" at Respectable Street. Each week, different bands are set to perform, and then the DJ takes over, providing the dance floor -- packed with young bodies -- with danceable gems from the '80s, '90s -- they even throw in a solid '00s tune now and then. Their bar caters to the college crowd by providing drink specials galore: $1.50 well drinks, $3 for whatever beer is the beer of the month. Save an Alexander Hamilton for Jell-O shots: At two bucks apiece, you can get five! The free party is from 9 p.m. till 4 a.m. at Respectable Street (518 Clematis St., West Palm Beach).
