The accouterments at the 12 O'Clock High Lounge are just as laid-back as the drunkards inside. There's a pool table for the sharks, a tiny stage in back housing local acts, and a cash-only policy. With its location off the Hollywood Broadwalk, it's no surprise the crowd is made up mostly of locals and randoms stumbling in off the sand. The tipsy patrons sit along the long wooden bar telling stories and cheersing one another for no reason other than just being drunk. The bartender has a heavy pour, and if you stick around, a free shot might come your way. The no-nonsense 12 O'Clock High Lounge may not be a destination point, but it sure is "just one more drink before we go" kind of place.
