Business Description

The Armory Art Center welcomes artists, with either a B.F.A. or M.F.A, to be a part of the Armory’s eight month Artist in Residence Program (AIR). This highly competitive program attracts a diverse group of people with varied backgrounds. AIRs have the opportunity to learn through workshops, eight week classes and special events. At the same time they develop a portfolio of their own work in the studio, culminating in a show of the work produced during their tenure. While at the Armory, AIRs are strongly encouraged to offer classes to our large student population. Residencies are available in 2D media, ceramics, jewelry and sculpture; residents receive a monthly stipend. Further criteria, details and the application are below.
