Café Joley

187 SE Mizner Blvd
Boca Raton, FL 33432

Website
A classic French brasserie with a certain hip factor: the owners are studly young dudes from Miami with big ambitions, who make every crumb of food on site with the exception of the imported cheeses, the charcuterie, and the baguettes, which are flown in partially baked from France. That means everything from the squid stuffed with fennel to your Muscovy duck confit legs to the pan-seared sea bass with chorizo, from the chocolate-drenched profiteroles to the out-of-body experience called orange pot de crme, has been fussed over personally by chef John Suley. A good list of French wines is calculated to pair splendidly with Suley’s seared scallops over oxtail ragout. The little bar attached, with its heartbeat red walls and jolie bartender, looks like a great place to hang.
