Daily Melt

350 SE 2nd St. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 | Fort Lauderdale | 954-713-6358

Location Description:

Las Olas is often criticized for being too expensive. Celebrity chef Allen Susser has offered an alternative to the power lunch spots of the street. Focusing on elevating the humble grilled cheese sandwich, this downtown Fort Lauderdale outpost of Susser’s Daily Melt features an inexpensive selection of queso-filled sammies and salads. While classics (like the original with grilled American cheese on sourdough) are available, the creative flavor combos are the reason to visit. The Granny Smith incorporates fresh apple with Virginia ham, cheddar, and muenster on French demi. The white truffle bacon cheddar with real truffle butter -- not that fake oil crap -- is decadent, with crisp bacon, cheddar, provolone, and Roma tomato on sourdough.
