A warning, though: If you're not a brisket fan, say bye-bye. Same goes for the rest of the Eastern European and Jewish delicatessen food: braised lamb shanks, stewed cabbage, stuffed peppers. Not that you have to have the heritage to enjoy such fare. But you do have to have the appetite, especially if you want a black-and-white cookie to finish the meal as it should be finished.
